"Ready to be pampered, educated and have FUN? My wife and I have been in Canada for some time now, but never been on a wine tour. We heard many wine tour stories with various degrees of satisfaction, but none of them convincing enough to make us take one. We stumbled across Traveling Grape (TG), and decided to “go for it” with a "whatever will be will be" attitude. Despite our reluctance towards Canadian red wines, we focused our tour towards learning more about the local reds.

The tour we ended up getting with TG was so tailor made and custom fitted that no detail that we asked for was left out. From carefully incorporating all our wants in the itinerary to making sure all our needs are met until the very end - we were treated with professionalism, courtesy and good time.

We got private tours at all wineries visited, including the history, detailed explanation of their wine making process and technologies they use, bottling, aging etc. Of course all tours ended the same way - with tasting the line up. Each tour lasted between 1-1.5 hours, which was more than plenty for the size of wineries we saw.

For lunch, TG pre-arranged reservations at a local restaurant. They also provided abundant snacks throughout the trip, such as: cheese, cold cuts, veggies, crackers and bottled water.  Ask for the triangular crackers - they are the best!!!

As for acquired knowledge about Canadian reds - we got quite the education. The wealth of knowledge TG has about all aspects of wine, is staggering. Their knowledge combined with the presentation about each type of wine at each winery was impressive. No question was left unanswered no detail was left out. I would definitely use their services again.
